Principle Activities
- Ownership of all PeakColo storage systems including capacity, risk and performance management
- Monitor, review and act upon storage infrastructure trends
- Maintain design documentation and enhance operational support systems and processes
- Collaborate with Peak customers to execute service changes to their cloud environments
- Act as a support escalation point to- 1) fulfill customer service requests and deliver world-class customer service and 2) troubleshoot and remedy reported service issues
- Plan and execute infrastructure builds and upgrades while ensuring 100% service uptime
- Execute complex customer changes
- Mentor and train support staff to aid in troubleshooting storage technology
- Work closely with other Senior Engineers to provision services for new and existing customers

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years experience as a senior engineer, preferably at an IT service provider in a heterogeneous environment
- Ability to work independently and execute tasks with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- World-class customer service skills
- Demonstrative experience with IT service provider product engineering and implementation
- Storage administration experience including managing, provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting storage systems and related environments
– NFS protocol and host configuration in VMware and/or Linux environments
– ISCSI protocol and host configuration in Windows Server environment
- VMware vSphere 4.x and higher – hands on experience supporting, provisioning and maintenance
- Understanding and experience with OSI Network Layers 1-3, including basic switch and router administration skills
- Ability to troubleshoot LAN/DMZ networking traffic
- Basic understanding of firewalling – hardware and host based, administration experience preferred
- Systems administration experience (Windows or Linux)
- Lifting and exerting up to 50 lbs of force
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited university
- Experience following ITIL best practices
- Execution of Product Development Life Cycle methodology
- Knowledge of storage replication technologies
- Experience with NetApp systems including Data OnTap – ClusterMode preferred
- VMware Certified Professional
